Invitations & Promo Codes
Grow your team and offer membership perks
Invite links and promo codes are the primary ways to grow your team. Admins and moderators can create invite links, while admins can activate special promotional offers.
Creating invite links
Generate shareable links that let people join your team. Each link can have:
- check_circleExpiration date: Optionally set when the link stops working
- check_circleMaximum uses: Limit how many people can use this specific link
- check_circleBonus type: Offer trial subscriptions or extensions to new joiners
- check_circleNon-premium access: Allow users without premium to join through this link
Invite bonus types
Trial Bonus
New members who don't have premium get a free trial period when they join through this link.
Extension Bonus
Members who already have premium get extra days added to their subscription.
No Bonus
Standard invite - members join without any subscription perks.
Team promo codes
Promo codes are special offers that admins can activate on a team. Once activated, new members who join receive the promotional benefit - typically a free trial subscription.
Key details about promo codes:
- check_circleOnly admins can activate promo codes
- check_circleA team can only have one active promo at a time
- check_circlePromos may have limited uses (e.g., first 50 members)
- check_circlePromos may have expiration dates
- check_circleSome promos are exclusive to specific teams, others are first-come-first-serve
Validating promo codes
Before activating, you can validate a promo code to see what it offers - the trial duration, remaining uses, and when it expires. This helps you decide if it's worth activating for your team.
Admin benefits
When an admin activates a promo code, they may also receive the trial benefit if they don't already have a premium subscription.
